(Optional) Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. He wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator also between God and man, the man Jesus Christ, who gave himself as a ransom for all. (Philippians 2:11b; 1 Timothy 2:4-6a)

Share BIG vision “A church for every village and community, and the gospel for every person.”
1 At Iconium Paul and Barnabas went as usual into the Jewish synagogue. There they spoke so effectively that a great number of Jews and Greeks believed.2 But the Jews who refused to believe stirred up the other Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers.3 So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.4 The people of the city were divided; some sided with the Jews, others with the apostles.5 There was a plot afoot among both Gentiles and Jews, together with their leaders, to mistreat them and stone them.6 But they found out about it and fled to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding country,7 where they continued to preach the gospel.
Additional questions you can use:
At Iconium, Paul and Barnabas modeled the same principle of intentional relationships that they had used in Pisidian Antioch. Their starting point was to share the message of Jesus at the local synagogue, where they were certain of an interest in spiritual conversations. The Lord confirmed the message of the gospel through miraculous signs and a large number of Jews and Gentiles came to believe. A church was planted and they discipled the new believers. Paul and Barnabas spoke boldly for the Lord. Again, the call to follow Jesus divided the community and those hostile to the Gospel stirred up persecution, planning to kill Paul and Barnabas. So they left that city just as Jesus instructed the Apostles when He sent them out, “when you are persecuted in one place, flee to another.” (Matthew 10:23).
23 When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
